Steam Deck ~ as a second desktop computer

When it came out, I didn't really feel the need for a similar machine, but in the end, since I was a big PSP fan when I was a teenager, I quickly gave in, and in the end, I didn't regret having it in my arsenal. There are periods when it's not used for months, lately I'm bridging the little evening escapes when the kids are getting ready to sleep, I can't get to a regular computer, but for a little relaxation I have to play some light indie farming or similar games, or every year I go out for fun in the garden if it's not HD and the sun is strong and play the Lawnmower simulator from there, instead of mowing the grass. But sometimes when I don't want to turn on the big machine (because sometimes it's noisier than this one), and I see it as sufficient for surfing the net if I turn it on, I switch to the desktop view and it becomes a completely healthy machine, I make no secret of it, this is one of my favorite parts of it, it's not even the purpose of a portable handheld console. :) I loved it when a friend bragged that he had a couple of Steam Decks and how easily and wonderfully he installed Windows 10 on it, with perfect drivers, I consider this the biggest insult that a person can commit with a Deck.. :)

"Wooden" ~ the muscle machine

This is my main machine, if I don't feel like getting on the nostalgia train, I usually work on it. Previously, I used the i7-4790k machine until 2025, but then I felt its processor was a bit weak, even though I overclocked it, unfortunately it is not enough in today's modern world to be prepared for everyday challenges (Diablo IV didn't run on full graphics, so I built a new one.). The main reason why I felt compelled to build it was specifically because of the Fractal Design house, since I love all kinds of wooden decor stuff, I was overcome with beauty when I saw this house. I was aware of this wood PC mania before, after I also foiled the old Fujitsu-Siemens machine to a wooden exterior, inspired by one of the LazyGameReview videos.

As the fastfetch output shows, the main OS is Arch Linux, I install this distro on most machines that can handle it, I used to use popOS!, but after I built this machine, the kernel was so old that it didn't support it this new Sapphire Radeon video card, so I was forced to switch distros. I didn't regret it. When it comes to video cards, I especially like to buy only the Sapphire brand, I think it's one of the most reliable brands on the market, and anyway, I like Radeons better than its competitors for some reason. In addition to it, I felt the urge to use the 9800 series for a Ryzen7, as I read on the Internet that World of Warcraft is the single core game, which can scratch the most, if it's a goose then it should be fat.
